What You’ll Learn

Studio 21: A1.1 OverviewStart auf Deutsch (Start in German)

  • Recognize and understand international words in German.
  • Greet someone, introduce yourself and others, ask about names and origins, and spell first and last names.

Chapter 1: Kaffee oder Tee? (Coffee or Tea?)

  • Meet new people and introduce yourself and others.
  • Learn numbers from 1 to 1000.
  • Order and pay at a café.
  • Share and understand phone numbers.

Chapter 2: Sprache im Kurs (Language in the Course)

  • Communicate in class: ask questions, request repetition, and use dictionaries.
  • Apply vocabulary learning strategies.

Chapter 3: Städte – Länder – Sprachen (Cities, Countries, and Languages)

  • Talk about cities, landmarks, countries, and languages.
  • Share where you’ve been and describe geographical locations.

Chapter 4: Menschen und Häuser (People and Houses)

  • Describe and comment on homes and apartments.
  • Write addresses and discuss living situations in other countries.
  • Learn vocabulary related to housing and furniture.

Chapter 5: Termine (Appointments)

  • Share time-related details like hours and days of the week.
  • Arrange appointments and meet-ups, apologize for delays, and discuss daily routines.

Chapter 6: Orientierung (Orientation)

  • Describe where people live and work and how they commute.
  • Ask for directions or locate someone in a building.
  • Describe a workplace in an office.

What to Expect

  • Final Exam: At the end of the course, you will take a written and verbal exam. A score of 70% is required to progress to the next level.

Terms and Conditions

  • Your course fee includes one digital copy of the learning materials. If you’d prefer a hard copy, you can purchase one from our recommended supplier at an extra cost.
  • Public group classes are designed for 30 academic hours per CEFR level. If the group grows to 5-7 students, we’ll extend the program by 10 academic hours. If only two students enroll before the course starts, the group will shift to a semi-private format with 20 academic hours.
  • Want to switch to a different group or schedule? No problem! Just let us know at least 7 days before the course starts.
  • All our teachers are native speakers of the target language. If your teacher falls ill or has an emergency, we’ll arrange a substitute who’s fully briefed on your progress.
  • Once you’ve started with your group, switching to another group or schedule isn’t possible.
  • Please note that course fees are non-refundable once the group classes have begun.
  • We can record group lessons for later viewing, but only if everyone in the class agrees before the course starts.
  • At the end of every program, you’ll take a final exam (both written and verbal). To move up to the next CEFR level, you’ll need to score at least 70%.
  • After completing your final exam, you’ll receive a progress report, recommendations, and a certification for your hard work!
